Where did he learn this?

Yesterday on our way home from school Jackson got to talking with me about the differences between girls and boys. Thankfully, this conversation was mostly limited to very general differences such as "girls paint their toenails and boys don't" and "boys don't wear the makeup" which I was glad that he realized.

And then the other shoe dropped....

As I was helping him out of my car, and as soon as his feet hit the driveway, he tells me that "girls shake their booty like this" and then proceeds to shake his little booty like a model out of a music video, which for the record, we do not watch in our house.

Either I need to question what exactly he is learning at his church preschool, or Dora the Explorer has some tricks up her sleeve that we need to discuss....

Okay so I totally allow Gracie to shake her booty, but only to "Me, I want a HOOLA HOOP" like Alvin does on the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie.

And someone else posted this somewhere in internet land, but have you ever noticed that when Dora tells kids to do something - it's never followed by please or thank you?

That's kind of disturbing. I think Dora is in desperate need of a "time out" at my house.

I do not know if this has ANY correlation at all BUT when Mary Garner was about 2 1/2 years old she decided to shake her booty as well. When I asked her what she was doing she said, "I am shaking my heiny like Mr. Mike." We were still at Glynwood at the time so you might need to check with the music minister : ) Just a joke but she seriously told me that.
