His New Favorite Word, But Not Mine

One of the school aged kids from Jackson's daycare recently taught him a new word: be-be's. I'll give you two guesses as to what body part that word might refer to. We've stuck to our "Mommy gets dressed behind closed doors" policy ever since the Big Hangy Down Thingies incident of January, and so far it's worked out well for us, until the other night.

I was enjoying a bath before bedtime and I thought that the bathroom door was closed tight. Apparently I was wrong because Jackson came busting into the bathroom to ask me a question, without warning. I immediately tried to discreetly cover up all the important parts, but it was too late. Jackson targeted in on "the" parts, walked over to the edge of the tub and said something that I'll never forget, even if I wish I could.

Jackson: "Mama, those are some big be-be's!!"
Me: "Jackson, get out of here. I'll be done in a minute."
Jackson: "No really, Mama. Those are some really big be-be's!"

It was at that time that I wished that I could just go down the drain with all the water, except that obviously my be-be's were too big for that.

Sorry, but that is hilarious and too cute. This may make you feel better but I guess it is the other extreme. When MG was about 2 she came in the bathroom and pointed and said "Moles"? Great. You have big be-be's and mine are moles. However, soon after she began to call them "bobbies" and that is what we call them. It has to be totally different with girls though. Oh, and also (David will LOVE this) she walked in on him one day and a little later a little boy exposed himself at school. She informed me that boys have "sticks" under their pants ; )
