Weekly Confessions

  • I find myself constantly thinking of potential facebook status updates based on whatever random activity I happen to be doing at the time. This occasionally even happens in the middle of the night, but so far I have refrained from actually sharing a status in the middle of the night. At this point a middle of the night update would probably be something like, "Amy is up to go potty. Again. Just thought you might like to know."

  • If you aren't friends with me on facebook, you should be. My status updates are pretty good.

  • Jeremy and I desperately need someone to help us teach our left handed son how to tie his shoes. He is stubborn just like his momma and won't let us help him even though he has no idea what he's doing.

  • I had a breakdown in Anderson's room Thursday night. There is so much to do and I am completely overwhelmed at how little time I have left to finish everything. How in the world have 34 weeks flown by?

  • We still haven't completely unpacked from the beach, and we've been back since Monday.

  • I am having some major Braxton-Hicks contractions the past couple of days. It's funny to see the look on Jeremy's face every time one hits me. He's like, "Do we need to go to the hospital?"

  • I bought an industrial size bottle of my favorite shampoo, popped the pump on it, and discovered it was conditioner instead of shampoo. Thankfully this was before I took my shower.

  • I got a pedicure this week and I'm convinced the Asian people were talking about how bad my heels were.

  • Jeremy gave me my early Mother's Day present, a 1-hour pregnancy massage that is scheduled for Saturday. I can't wait. That was the reason I went ahead and got my pedicure, so the masseuse wouldn't see my feet and think, "This girl really needs a pedicure!"

I guess that's it for today. Anything you need to confess?

Sometimes I post on FB if I wake up in the night..especially if there is an interesting story as to why...the cat woke me up etc. Or when I can't fall asleep b/c a certain hubby is snoring. I get a lot of likes on that one. LOL

I am left handed but if somebody tries to turn it around and show me 'left handed' it freaks me out. I just naturally flip it in my head. So I haven't had any trouble learning hands on things like that. But good luck. Shoe tying is hard. Maybe one or two pairs with velco til you get settled with Anders.

You will be fine with the baby room. As much as we want it to be perfect, he won't care if it's not. A pile of diapers and some onesies and you're good to go!

What kind of shampoo do you like? I finally broke down and bought some Biolage at the salon yesterday. Thankfully I only need about a tea$poon (or le$$!) for every washing. Really.

Hubs ordered cookbooks I'd been wanting for Mother's Day. Allergic to flowers and this will last a lot longer. Everybody is happy.

Happy Mother's Day to you, sweet friend! : )

I give myself a pedicure before I get a pedicure.

That way the Asian women won't chat about how bad my heels are.

Caroline is left handed and had the hardest time learning to tie her shoes!! We kept showing her and showing her and couldn't figure out what the problem was, until a lightbulb went on & we realized that to her, we were doing it backwards.

From then on we just talked her though it, and that helped her more than showing her.
