Extraordinary Woman Was Extraordinary!

Extraordinary Women was amazing! This was my first “ladies” conference, and I had such a good time with my Mom, sister and lots of ladies from church. It was a super busy weekend, but we had a blast. Kellyn and I didn’t hit the road until after work on Friday and we made it to B’ham shortly before the conference started. We got lost on our way into the arena, and walked it felt like miles out of the way, but it’s all good! Kellyn and I met Candace Cameron Bure Friday night and got our our picture with her. She was super cute! I LOVED Full House and it was really cool to meet someone that you have watched on TV so many times. Kellyn had spotted her at her table and came back to tell me and I made a bee-line for her and we got there right before she left. We talked with her a minute (we were the only people there so she was in no hurry) and then we headed back into the arena to to see Mercy Me. The concert was really good, but it ran long and we got into our hotel room right before midnight. We were whooped!

Because the big names were speaking on Saturday we got up extra early so we could get good seats,  which meant that I got 3 1/2 hours of sleep. I was majorly dragging on Saturday morning, but our seats were wonderful. The line up for Saturday was Lysa TerKeurst, Angela Thomas, Kim and Krickett Carpenter, Candace Cameron Bure and then Sarah Palin. I was in heaven. I was super excited that I got to see Sarah Palin, but her speech ended up feeling like just that; a speech. Candace Cameron was by far my favorite and she truly spoke from the heart. Her testimony about her husband’s journey to salvation was amazing.

The weekend was so wonderful and I am super thankful to my Mom for treating me to a great experience. Each of the speakers shared something that can definitely help me with my walk with Christ, and I can’t wait to go back next year. Pam Tebow will be there next year! Enjoy the pics!

Candace was gorgeous! Check out those heels!!!

I wasn’t exactly digging Sarah’s EW hoodie, but she is so pretty. I think she would look great in a burlap sack.

Y’all have a great day!

Sounds awesome...and looks like you had amazing seats! Full House was one of my favorites, so I would've loved to hear her speak, but she is crazy for wearing those shoes to stand and talk for any extended period of time! You KNOW her feet were killing her! :)
