The Inaugural Rides

Mom, Jackson and I took our new kayaks out for our inaugural rides on Sunday afternoon and had a blast! Mom and I have the same kayak, and Anderson rode with me. He was so good! I was a little worried he would get squirmy, but he did great. He kept telling me, "Mama, I like your boat." Such a sweetie! We rode down the Autauga Creek to the dam pool, and then back to our drop off location. It took us about an hour because we kept stopping to take pictures. It's crazy how doing something like this gives you a completely new perspective of somewhere I have lived my whole life. The creek is very peaceful and there are so many beautiful things to see. Our favorite part was paddling through a swampy area because the Cyprus trees are so impressive. We had such a good time, and can't wait to get back out on the water again. Enjoy the pics!
