Welcome to Wade's World where Jeremy and Amy are just the parents, Macy is the B-A-D dog, and our two boys, Jackson and Anderson are the real stars of the show!
We are Christian conservatives who love Jesus, our families, and each other. We live somewhere in the South where we love grits, say "y'all," and know that you never, ever wear white shoes before Easter or after Labor Day no matter what Stacy London and Clinton Kelly say.
Stay tuned for what inevitably lies ahead as Amy blogs about life in Wade's World.
In the effort of saving money, we have purchased generic products whenever possible for years. For most things, I can't tell a difference, and if I can tell, it doesn't bother me enough to worry about. Generally, I'm not picky about shampoo and cosmetics, and our kids actually prefer the generic brand cereal and oatmeal, BUT, there are some things that I only buy the "real" product. I shared the pictures of 10 items that I am not willing to substitute, no matter how much money I could save. And if you have never tried Charmin Sensitive MegaRoll, all I will say is that it is life changing.
What are some items that you aren't willing to make the switch to generic? And have you tried Charmin Sensitive MegaRoll? Inquiring minds (mostly mine) want to know!
I keep thinking I'm going to blog regularly, and this little thing called life gets in the way. Here are a few things that has been happening in our world.
Jeremy and I have a new niece! Olivia "Livy" Reece Wade made her grand appearance on Friday at only 28 weeks along, via emergency c-section. She weighed in at 2lbs and 8 oz, and is 15 inches long. She and mom are both doing well, and Lacey is expected to go home today. Livy should be in the hospital through the end of January. Please lift their family up in your prayers. I can't imagine leaving the hospital without my precious baby, and Ben, Lacey and big brother Cannon have a long journey before little Livy gets to come home.
Jackson is trying out for basketball tonight at the YMCA. He is so excited. Between baseball, gymnastics and now basketball, it looks like he is going to be very well rounded in the world of sports.
Anderson is doing AMAZING with his speech. Jeremy and I can't believe how much he is talking now, and the fact that he hasn't had therapy since June makes it even more surprising. Sometimes we look at each other and say, "Did he just say an 8 word sentence?" We are so proud of him.
I got a third large monitor at work on Friday. I have a laptop setup, so technically I have 4 monitors now if I wanted to use the laptop screen. Life. Changing. If had been using the laptop as my 3rd screen for ages now, but my eyes were starting to struggle. These new giant screens are incredible.
That's it for today. I'll do my best to be back tomorrow!
