The first two days of recovery from my tonsillectomy were nothing. In my mind I think I even started to mock those little weaklings who complained about how bad this procedure stinks on an adult.
Now, on day three of my recovery, the ghosts of tonsils past have officially made their move.
I'm miserable.
It hurts to talk.
It hurts to eat.
It hurts to drink.
It just plain hurts.
I'm putting "having a tonsillectomy" at the top of my list of things I never, ever want to do again. I guess that's good, seeing as how I could never, ever have this procedure again, and I can only say "Amen" to that...

Bless your heart! I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Yikes. So sorry. I hope you feel better super soon!!
Still praying....will pray harder. Hope you feel better quick!
OK, I didn't even know you were getting this done until after the fact. What's up w/that???? And as someone who had this procedure done at 23, I could have told you that you will be miserable. I was not allowed to return to work for 2 weeks and I lost over 10 pounds. Rest and shut up...literally! :) Talking makes it worse!
I found your post via Blogher. I hope that you are feeling better soon! I have never had that procedure, I still have my tonsils, BUT have had other surgery's that I swore I'd never have again! Good Luck!
