I traveled yesterday and today for work. I was looking so cute this morning with my black top, white crop pants and little black sandals. I made a few stops and then decided to stop at McDonald's for lunch before finishing my other stops for the day. After eating I got a refill on my orange Hi-C and then headed back to the car to get back on the road. I hadn't traveled very far when I reached for my drink out of the cup holder.
Do you remember when I told you that I was wearing white pants?
As I picked up my cup, the flimsy cardboard McDonald's cup folded in and the lid popped off just as I lifted the cup out of the holder and my ice cold Hi-C orange drink poured all over the side of my right leg.
I may or may not have uttered a choice word under my breath.
I quickly pulled over and looked in the middle console for some napkins that I had stashed in their for emergencies such as these. Imagine my frustration when there were no napkins in there. I then checked the glove compartment. Nada. Apparently Jeremy decided to clean out the car and decided that my stash of clean napkins had to go. I ended up scrounging off the floorboard a crusty, dried up napkin that had been used to wipe Jackson's snotty nose and tried to clean my pants with it.
As I was wiping my formerly white pants off with a used snot rag, I thought to myself, "This is why Mom and Dad nicknamed me Grace." Luckily a well placed canvas tote bag served as a very convenient cover up for my last stops.
I'm just glad that I didn't bring my hot fudge sundae to the car with me. I would have hated to try to explain that...

No you aren't the only one! But LOL... funny story. Maybe you need to replace your stash! : ) And say hello to some Clorox and see if your pants that were formerly known as white can regain their title! : )
I'm so glad you are willing to share these stories....this kind of stuff TOTALLY happens to me, but I'm not brave enough to tell them!
I hate moments like that!!! I'm so sorry! :(
