We had such a good time at Jeremy's brother's wedding this weekend. Ben and Lacey's wedding went off without a hitch, and the weekend was perfect. We were a little concerned since it was an outside wedding in July in southern Mississippi, but even the weather cooperated! Jackson was the official ring bearer, and you might remember that I wasn't sure how Jackson would do with his duties, especially since he is so shy. Well...I'll leave you hanging for now as to how he did. Enjoy the pics!

Ben seeing Lacey for the first time!
And here's the answer to how Jackson did: As long as he was with Jeremy he was fine! He even helped escort ladies to their seats while Jeremy was serving as usher! However, he refused to walk in by himself, so Jeremy ended up carrying him into the wedding!
The result of that was Jeremy ended up holding Jackson during the entire wedding ceremony! I guess I can't complain; Jackson didn't make a peep during the service, although it just about killed Jeremy's arms!

The only time Jackson's feet hit the ground was right before they walked out!
The happy couple, Ben and Lacey Wade!
Jackson decided to break loose after the wedding was over!
Like I said before, it was a beautiful wedding, and we are so happy to welcome Lacey to the Wade family. Jeremy and I were so proud of Jackson for being such a big boy and participating in the wedding, even if it took some coaxing and a little bribery! He looked so handsome, and I'm just glad he pulled it off! I hope you enjoyed the pictures.Have a great day!

Great pics. Looks like it was a beautiful wedding. I do have a question, though--what is the sand ceremony? That's a new one for me. :)
The sand ceremony is a relatively new thing for weddings that can be used in place of lighting a unity candle. The mothers of the groom and bride each pour a different colored sand (they used chocolate and white sand) into a jar or container and then the bride/groom pours the same color as their mothers. The final result is 2 distant layers of sand, and then a blending of the two colors. It's very pretty.
What a beautiful couple! You two AND the wedding couple. The pix are just so sweet. So young, such promise. I love weddings. Reminds me of much simpler days of the past. : ) Your little man did good not to make any sounds during the wedding.
I have a 'thing' where I've never been a fan of kids in weddings. Must have been the time the flower girl TOOK OFF HER DRESS during the wedding... LOL
