- We may have figured out the key to solving Jackson's bedtime battles. For the last week or so we've let Jackson sleep in his Iron Man costume. Or Eye-Ron man costume as Jackson likes to say. It hasn't completely ended the bedtime battle, but it has helped. I'm coming to grips with the fact that as a parent, you do what you gotta do!
- This week during a visit to a courthouse to visit a JPO I saw a guy in the waiting room for court. He was wearing a shirt that said, “Save Water. Drink Beer.” I can only hope he wasn’t in court for an alcohol offense.
- I have banned Scooby Doo in our house. We made the unfortunate parenting decision to let Jackson watch Scooby Doo on Netflix a few weeks ago, and from then on Jackson has become obsessed with Scooby Doo. He would have watched it 8 hours a day if we let him, which of course we didn’t. Whenever we would even pause a movie he would pitch a fit. After a few days of that I had had enough. Now, I’ve declared our house a Scooby Dooby Don’t Zone!
- My Mom is in Italy again, this time with our friend Crystal right now, visiting one of my best friends, and Crystal’s sister, Allison. I’m so jealous (in a completely good way, of course), but I just ask that you pray that they will have a wonderful trip. They left on Sunday, and will be back later this month.
- Today in the mail we got a magazine and a book for Jackson. I adore days when we don't get any bills!
- Several of my magazines are highlighting a new fall trend that I confess I completely don’t understand. It seemed like every fashion page was showing off these new “booties” that I think look utterly ridiculous, uncomfortable and impractical. It’s like 80’s fashion came back with a vengeance.
Am I alone?
And y’all, Dorothy from Golden Girls had this same pair in white.
See?
So in memory of Bea Authur, I recommend that we let booties and slouch boots RIP. Some things really are better in memory than in reality.
The End.

Glad you figured out the "you do what you gotta do" thing. That gives a mom many miles of grace sometimes. LOL
I think I'll skip the boots. : p
Gotta say, I love some booties!! I'd totally rock bootie #7 in the pic!! I even love some Bea Arthur...even wanted to name MA "Bea" but Russell wouldn't go for it!! :)
Lyndsey if anyone could rock some booties it would be you! I'm not nearly fashion forward or trendy enough to even consider it!
And Bea Arthur was great!!!
THANK YOU! Booties=ugly, I think.
