Today is once again WFMW over at Rocks in My Dryer, and I have an easy suggestion today. Here goes....So I have a very active toddler boy, who, at the mere age of 16 months, figured out how to climb out of his crib. I was seriously not ready to put him into a “big boy” bed yet, and the thought of him getting hurt while climbing out of his crib was very stressful. So after much research, we decided to buy a crib tent. Now, as weird as this may sound, I promise it is the best thing ever, and it has given us so much piece of mind. It was originally designed to keep cats out of cribs, so it is incredibly strong, and the best part: there is NO way for him to get out. He was a little unsure of it at first, but now we can just put him into his crib, zip him in, and he is asleep in no time. We have used it for 3 months now, and will use it for as long as possible (I’m thinking college).
I now don’t have to worry that Jackson is running around the house during the night, getting into who knows what while I sleep soundly. It really has been a lifesaver for us, and I hope that if anyone out there has a “climber” that you give it a try. It has definitely worked for us!

I will have to try that when Antony gets older. Thanks
I will SO be using one of those this time around.
where we you a few weeks ago?? (I JUST wrote about my experience with this topic 2 days ago... our first two were FABULOUS when it came to moving them into a bed. Our third likes to challenge and gets up and at 'em early in the a.m.
(fyi ~ there is a simple way to get rid of that background border around your header if you want. Email me if you do!)

Ahh yes- The crib tent... We started using one with my now-11-year-old who could climb out of his crib at 15 months.
It was a lifesaver!
College, ha! That made me laugh!
We used one of these for our son - kept him in the crib for a whole nother year! Loved it! He was even a little sad when it was time to get rid of it, he loved his cozy little tent (but he ended up poking a finger through the "door" and evenually he worked it into a big enough hole that it made me nervous he'd put his head through. By that time he was almost 3 and ready for a toddler bed).
Great isn't it?
I found out about it when my children were too old for it.
It would have saved a lot of energy and stress.

Have a great week and an amazing spring!!!
We have a 21 month old and a 5 month old, both in cribs and soon to be sharing a room. We plan on keeping our toddler in her crib as long as possible so that we don't have to worry about her messing with her sister. It's good to know that this could be a good option if she starts climbing out of her crib before we're ready to transition her out of it. Thanks for the tip!
We had considered just flipping our cribs over on our triplets to keep them in (a good friend did that with her quads), but instead opted to move them to big beds.
I know a lot of people that swear by crib tents. The issue of keeping babies in their crib certainly can be challenging!!
Man! Where was that gadget when my boys were clinbing out of their cribs at 11 months???? I hated to put them in toddler beds so young with a gate across their bedroom door... I have a good friend who will love to hear about this lovely invention- I'm off to ring her now!
I have used mine for two kids. It works great! My 2 year old has already figured out how to unzip it (even when I tuck the zipper pull into its little pocket) so I use a diaper pin to pin it closed. Works like a charm!
