Well, well, well. I had my ten year reunion this past weekend, and I really can’t believe that it’s been ten whole years already. The reunion was fun getting to catch up with people from high school that I haven’t seen in years.
It was also fun seeing what prom would have been like had liquor been sold.
The reunion started Friday night with a baseball game at our local AA stadium, which Jeremy and I left at the bottom of the 7th inning because it was a rather boring game. Seriously, 7 innings, and no one had scored. I’m ADD enough when it comes to baseball games, so I just couldn’t take much more of it. Luckily, the weather was breezy and not too hot, so it was a fun evening.
Saturday we met at the local park for a picnic with classmates and their families. Jackson had a blast even though it was so stinking hot outside. I swear kids are impervious to things like heat, meanwhile, I’m about to melt. He got to get into one of those big inflatable kid traps, and he loved every second of it! Saturday night was the last part of the reunion and it was held at our Robert Trent Jones Clubhouse. It was pouring when we got there, so it was a challenge to get inside without getting soaked, but I’m not gonna complain, because we really needed the rain. They had a DJ there, good food, and nice company. I was kinda surprised at how much people looked the same.
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend, and I had a had a great time catching up with old friends. Make sure that you check out the Ennis family (Jennifer from high school) and the Canada family (Lindsey, also from high school). When I saw both of them it was like I had been keeping track of them forever simply because I follow their blogs. I felt the same way about a bunch of other classmates because of the worlds of Myspace and Facebook. Isn’t technology great! I can only imagine where we will all be in 10 more years….
