Aruba Day 2

Day 2 in Aruba started off the right way: no plans! We had reserved a palapa at the beach, and spent the entire morning lounging, swimming and reading. Heaven! The water is amazing in Aruba; on the hotel side of the island there are no waves, and the water is very shallow. Jeremy and I could walk probably 150 yards into the water and still be only chest deep! Aruba has the 2nd best drinking water in the world, thanks to their state of the art desalinization plant. The water was so good and clean, you can drink it straight out of the tap in the bathroom and it tastes better than bottled water! How many foreign countries can you say the water is not only safe to drink, but tastes good! We spent the entire day out on the beach or by the pool, where I met a new iguana friend, and then we headed back to the room to get ready for Jeremy's company welcome reception. They had amazing food, set up right on the beach, and then ended the night with a traditional Carnival show. So cool! If only I could dance like that! Enjoy the pics!

What's New In Wade's World

We just got back from a weekend trip to the beach in Fort Morgan, AL with my family. We had a great time, but we are exhausted! Here's a few random tidbits of our trip:

• Jackson is absolutely not a fan of waves, but would play in the sand all day long.


• Jeremy is a genius: He totally nailed the news on Osama bin Laden before anyone in the media announced what had happened.


• Scheduling a doctor's appointment for the afternoon after you get back from a beach trip is a BIG mistake when it comes time to step on the scales. My doctor's first words were, "Well, at least the food was good!"
