Weekly Confessions

• I have to blame pinterest for the fact that Anderson’s birthday party has gone over the top. What originally started out as a “simple” birthday party has now turned into a golf extravaganza. I blame pinterest.
• Vacation Bible School starts on the 11th and I have just barely cracked open my leaders guide. Normally I’m knee deep in VBS, but having 2 kids, working full time and planning a golf themed birthday party has cramped my style. Hopefully I can still pull it off.
• Jackson starts t ball during Vacation Bible School. We are going from having karate once a week for 30 minutes to having t ball twice a week for an hour. I’m so no prepared for organized sports.
• Did I mention that A’s birthday party is this weekend and I’m nowhere near ready? How is it even possible that I’m about to have a 1 year old. I need time to slow down.
• Last Sunday we bought what might well be our last container of formula forever, and we are starting A on milk today. Typing that sentence made my ovaries twinge.
• Jackson finished kindergarten yesterday and is officially out of school for the summer. He did amazing in kindergarten, and got all "P's" on his final report card. I'm so proud of my big boy! First grade, here we come!

Kindergarten Awards Day

Last Thursday Jackson had his Awards Ceremony for his kindergarten class. It was so sweet! All 4 of the classes in his pod sang 3 songs, Baby Beluga, Have You Ever Been Fishing, and 5 Little Fishies. They did such a good job. After the singing each child was brought up by his/her teacher and given an award specific for that child. Jackson got the award for being the kindest in his kindergarten class. Talk about making a mama proud! I am so excited that Jackson got that award, and it makes my heart swell so much to know how sweet and kind my big boy is. After the awards ceremony we were brought into the classroom to have a brunch. Mrs. Smith had made a scrapbook for each child and we were presented with artwork from the year. It is was such a sweet gift from her, and I will treasure it forever! We had such a good time and we are so proud of how well Jackson has done in kindergarten.

Jackson with Mrs. Smith, the best kindergarten teacher ever! We were so blessed to have her take such good care of Jackson this year, and we will miss her greatly next year!

We are so pleased with Jackson this year, and we can’t wait to see what first grade holds for our sweet boy. It doesn’t seem possible that kindergarten is already done, but I couldn’t be prouder of Jackson!

Jackson hijacked my camera while we were at the beach and he wanted me to share with y’all some of the pictures he took. He had a blast with my camera, and I loved seeing what was cool enough to him that he thought he needed a picture. Some of the pictures were actually pretty good. Enjoy Jackson’s pics!

Beach Trip 2012

We went to the beach last weekend, and what a difference a year makes; last year when we went to the beach I was close to 8 months pregnant, this year we were toting swim diapers, formula, a kiddie pool for the beach and lots of sunscreen with us! It wasn’t quite the relaxing vacation I had hoped for with an almost 1 year old (do those even exist anymore?), but we we had a great time. Enjoy the pics!
